Cotton weight: what the GSM actually means
Tote bag fabric is measured in grams per square metre. Lighter cotton is cheaper and fine for event giveaways; heavier cotton feels substantially better in the hand and carries more weight without stretching.
If the bag is a retail item or a premium gift, go heavier. If you are handing out hundreds at an exhibition, lighter cotton stretches your budget much further.

Short handles or long handles?

Natural or coloured cotton?
Natural (unbleached) cotton is the classic look and the most economical. Coloured cotton makes a logo pop and works well when your brand colour is strong, but remember your artwork needs to work on a dark background - a black logo will disappear on navy.
If your logo only exists in one colour, ask us for a reversed white version before you commit to a dark bag.
Print method and artwork
For full colour designs and photographic artwork we use direct to film heat press, which handles gradients and fine detail on cotton without a screen setup charge. Simple one-colour logos can be produced very economically at volume.

Single or double sided printing
Printing both sides is popular for events: brand on the front, sponsors or a QR code on the reverse. It adds a little to the unit price and nothing to the lead time.
