Need custom t-shirt printing in the UK for team kit, staff uniform, event crew or a merch stall? This guide covers print methods, mixed size ordering, garment colour and getting artwork right first time - and you can ask us for a price at any point.

Which print method should you choose?

Direct to film heat press is the default for most orders: it prints full colour, handles photographs and gradients, needs no screen setup and works on light and dark garments. That makes it ideal for small runs and multi-colour logos.

For very large runs of a simple one or two colour design, other methods can be cheaper per unit. Tell us your quantity and design and we will point you at the right process rather than the most expensive one.

Ordering mixed sizes and quantities

Real orders are never all one size. On our t-shirt, hoodie and safety vest pages you can enter a size breakdown - for example 2 x XL, 4 x L, 1 x S - and the price is calculated on the total quantity, so you still get the volume discount.

As a rough guide for a mixed adult group, order the middle sizes most heavily and keep a couple of spares in L and XL.

Garment colour and artwork

Dark garments need artwork that works on a dark background. If your logo is a single dark colour, supply a reversed white version too. Light garments are more forgiving and usually a little cheaper to print.

Colours on fabric will never look identical to a backlit screen, and there is natural variation in the print and dye process. We will always flag artwork that is likely to shift noticeably before we press it.

Print positions

Left chest suits staff uniform and looks smartest. Centre or full front is right for merch and event crew. Adding a back print - a name, a role or a sponsor - is a small extra cost that makes team kit feel properly finished.

Lead times and reorders

Because pressing happens in-house in the UK, small reorders and top-ups are quick. We keep your approved artwork on file, so replacing a lost shirt or adding a new starter does not mean starting again.

Can I order custom t-shirts in different sizes?

Yes. Enter a size breakdown such as 2 x XL, 4 x L, 1 x S on the t-shirt page and the price is worked out on your total quantity, so mixed size orders still get the volume price.

What is DTF printing on t-shirts?

Direct to film heat press prints your design onto a film which is then heat pressed onto the garment. It reproduces full colour artwork and photographs, works on light and dark fabric, and has no screen setup charge - ideal for small and medium runs.

Is there a minimum order for printed t-shirts?

Pricing is tiered by quantity rather than gated behind a large minimum, so small team orders are welcome and larger runs get progressively cheaper.

Will printed t-shirts survive washing?

Yes - wash inside out at 30 degrees and avoid ironing directly over the print. Care guidance is included with every clothing order.
